American media, The Chicks, Kanye West, and P!nk.

I've seen and learned how the American media worked against the Dixie Chicks just for saying, "We're ashamed that the President from the U.S.A is from Texas", yet when P!nk makes a song about the President, it's like nobody cares. I don't really know why people wouldn't compare P!nk's song with The Dixie Chicks. If you think about it, it's the same. From what I've heard The Dixie Chicks say, it's not bad as with what P!nk said. I believe it's just their own opinion, or as a joke. Why people would go to these measures, I don't know. I've seen how the media can use all sorts of different techniques to manipulate someone thinking it's so bad that they should burn the Dixie Chicks and never listen to their music again. Kanye West on the other hand, during the Hurricane Katrina telethon wasn't really fair with the whole; "George Bush doesn't care about black people". I don't really know why he'd say such a thing without any proof. Dan Froomkin did a questionnaire among blacks, and whites of who thinks Kanye's statement is true. 21% of black people say he does, and 71% say he doesn't. Among white people, 67% say he does, and 31% say he doesn't. Overall; 62% say he does, and 31% say he doesn't. Clearly, that's some good proof saying he does. What bothers me is, why would Kanye just say that? Remember his backstage freak out? Same thing there, I'm sure most of the people didn't get much stage time but I mean come on, it's a big event, lots of people are there, he's lucky he even got some time. I bet most of the people who were going to preform didn't even get a chance. Overall, if you're sure about something, and have proof go ahead and say it. Without proof, it's a big mess afterwards.
